ZZZ 3.3 Release Time and Countdown: Version 3.3 Journey to the Sky Is Live (Checked 21 Oct 2026)
Short answer
There is no countdown to wait for: Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3 "Journey to the Sky" is already live. HoYoverse's official HoYoLAB post announcing it went up on 21 October 2026 at 04:00 UTC [1]. The update maintenance started at 06:00 (UTC+8) that day and was estimated at about five hours; that is an estimate, not a promised length [2]. Version 3.3 ends on 2026-12-01 22:00 UTC (the same moment the official post gives as 2 December 2026, 06:00 UTC+8) [2]. The compensation is two separate 300 Polychrome lines, and each one has a condition you should read before you assume you qualify [2].

Release time: it is already live
If you searched for a ZZZ 3.3 release time, the answer is that it already happened. HoYoverse's official post "Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3 'Journey to the Sky' Is Now Live!" appeared on HoYoLAB at 04:00 UTC on 21 October 2026 [1]. Its companion overview post opens with "Version 3.3 is now live!" [5]. So this page does not run a countdown to launch, because there is nothing left to count down to.
The maintenance window is the part people usually ask about. The official update announcement gives the start as 2026/10/21 06:00 (UTC+8) and says it would take about five hours [2]. The earlier pre-download notice used the same words: "We estimate this will take five hours" [3]. Treat five hours as the studio's estimate. We have not seen any official promise that the length is fixed, and we do not state when your own region saw the servers open.
We print the official times in the form HoYoverse wrote them. Where a time is marked "server time" we leave it that way, because the official posts do not say which clock a given region should convert it to.
Countdown: when Version 3.3 ends
The only date that still counts down is the end of the version. The update announcement says Version 3.3 will run for 42 days and end on 2026/12/02 06:00 (UTC+8) [2]. In UTC that is 2026-12-01 22:00 UTC, written as 2026-12-01T22:00:00Z. The two forms are the same instant.
This page is static HTML and does not tick. We chose not to add a live counter script, because the site's content security policy only permits Google's ad scripts on guide pages, and a clock is not worth loosening it. Subtract today's date from 2026-12-01 22:00 UTC yourself, or use any clock set to UTC.
Why the end date matters: the Server Update Compensation can be claimed until the end of Version 3.3, and limited items such as the Spookies in Boojee's Store are available only during Version 3.3 [2]. Spend or claim those before the end.
Compensation: two conditional 300 Polychrome lines
The official announcement lists two compensation items, each worth 300 Polychrome [2]. They are separate lines with their own conditions. Neither is an automatic bonus to every account, and they should not be read as one combined gift.
- Server Update Compensation: Polychrome x300. Requirement: reach Inter-Knot Lv. 4 before 2026/10/21 06:00 (UTC+8). It can be claimed until the end of Version 3.3 [2].
- Issue Fix Compensation: Polychrome x300. Requirement: reach Inter-Knot Lv. 4 before 2026/10/21 06:00 (UTC+8). Log in and claim it before 2026/11/20 23:59 (UTC+8) [2].
HoYoverse says the dev team issues the compensation through in-game mail after the update has finished, and the mail expires after 30 days, so claim the attachments [2]. The pre-download notice described the Server Update line the same way: mail after the update, claimable until the end of the version [3]. If you were below Inter-Knot Lv. 4 when maintenance began, the posted conditions say you do not qualify. We did not test claiming either one in the game.
Update size and how to update
Pre-download is closed. It ran from 2026/10/19 12:00 to 2026/10/21 05:50 (UTC+8) [3]. The official approximate file sizes were:
| Platform | Approximate size |
|---|---|
| PC | 6 GB |
| Mobile (Android and iOS) | 5 GB |
| PS5 and PS5 Pro | 14 GB |
| Xbox Series X and Series S | 21 GB |
HoYoverse notes that installed voice packs change the space needed [3]. These were pre-download figures, so the amount you pulled on launch day may differ if you skipped pre-download.
Updating, per the official announcement [2]: on PC exit the game, restart and select update; on Android follow the pop-up in the game; on iOS press update in the App Store; on PS5 hold Options on the game tile and choose Check for updates; on Xbox go to My games & apps, Manage, then the Updates page. Use only official launchers and stores.
What is in Version 3.3 (as listed by HoYoverse)
Everything here comes from the official announcement and overview posts [2] [5].
- New Agents. S-Rank Phoenix (Fire, Anomaly) through the "Into the Flames of Life" Signal Search, and S-Rank Severian (Wind, Attack) through "Answers in the Wind" [2].
- New W-Engines. S-Rank Plume of Rebirth and Incarcerating Grip, and A-Rank Candlelit Scheme from the limited-time "Spooky Funhouse Tales" event [2].
- Story and area. Main Story Season 3 Chapter 4 "Journey to the Sky", plus the Roscaelifer Restricted Areas Quietude Isle and Airspace Control Tower, unlocked in that chapter [2].
- Gameplay. A controllable Bangboo Mech for the main story and Quietude Isle, the Agent Guides feature, and a Discord account link option [2].
- Events. "All-New Program", "Spooky Funhouse Tales", "Cyber Miracle Healer, on Duty!", "Trails of the Hobbling Crow" and others, each with its own level requirement in the post [2].
The Phase I limited-time channels, per the official channel post, feature Phoenix, the Plume of Rebirth W-Engine, Velina (Wind, Anomaly) and the Joyau Dore W-Engine [4]. We are not listing event reward details here because we did not verify each event page.
Phase 2 start and known issues
Phase 2 begins on 11 November 2026 at 12:00 server time. The official channel post says the Phase I Signal Search event runs until 2026/11/11 11:59 (server time) [4]. We do not convert server time to any region or offset, because the post does not give one. Check the in-game clock before you plan around it.
HoYoverse keeps a running known-issues post for 3.3. On launch day it listed an incorrect role label for Phoenix in the Agent Guides squad recommendations, lag on some Sony Xperia devices, odd photos after launching with DX12, and a crash risk on PC when the Nvidia App filter is on [6]. That post is updated over time, so read it for the current list.
Redemption codes. No active redemption code is verified for 3.3, so none appears here. Only redeem codes from official HoYoverse channels in the game's own redeem page.
